Puppy Sitter

Not sure you’re ready to commit to a puppy 24/7? You can still be the puppy’s home away from home by being a Puppy Sitter. As a Puppy Sitter you will fill in as the puppy’s Guardian while it is in your care for a short time. Sometimes we need a Puppy Sitter for a day or two and sometimes we need for a few weeks at a time. 

A Puppy Sitter is expected to complete the same tasks as the Puppy Guardian, but only for a short time. Before becoming a Puppy Sitter, you will be exposed to some example training to make sure it’s the right fit for you. Puppy Sitters will be provided with information about the specific dog in their care and IOWA Service Dogs staff will be available if you have any questions or concerns. 

Please note, Puppy Sitters need to live near enough to the training facility to attend weekly classes and organization events.
